I will do some digging into the cases done before...  Not to be repetative but....  Can you send me a crash log the NEXT time it happens and your EXACT system config including any I/O attached.

I am seeing crash-on-exit every day, on High Sierra as well as on Mojave, from MC 2018.5 to 2018.12.1, all on a 2017 MacBook Pro. I think I've seen it before too, but I'm not sure. Since the "crash" obviously always happens after saving any open bins, I don't pay to much attention to it. No work ever lost. But one observation for the digging: In my case it only happens if a monitor is connected. If it's the MacBook only, then the application quits properly.

Can you send me your complete system specifications including any i/o devices attached and your system ID as I would like to get you added and a case created so we can get to the bottom of this.   also include this post.

That is a bug and is MC AND AJA related.  Both engineering teams are working on it.

Works ok on MC 2018.8

I had the AJA, crashing on exit bug on 2018.5 and most recently 2018.12 but for some reason 2018.11 didn't crash on exit with AJA hardware connected.

Staying on 2018.11 until next update hopefully fixes this.

I've noticed that AJA have a new version 15.1 (March 2019) software that solves crashing on exit with AJA hardware attached. Some of you on 2018.12 may like to try it.

Upgraded MC and AJA to latest version, but still get crash on exit.

I know this is the Mac forum but I didn't find a similar one on the PC side and I have a very similar problem, but we have Blackmagic IO (Mini monitor in a Z420 and Decklink 4k Extreme in another). MC is not crashing but freezing on exit with an empty MC screen in about 50% of the time (the other 50% it exits normally). These are 2018.12.2-3 versions but we had the issue since 7.0 so I was not surprised - actually 7.0 seemed to exit but the process remained active so it couldn't be restarted until it was shut down from Task Manager - and it also happened in about half of the cases).

Everything is saved every time so no harm is done.

I just wanted to add this if its being investigated.
