Something does not seem right about the info you posted. Compare that to the ReadMe file for 2018.5 at the following location.

I almost feel as if you reposted the fixes for 2018.4???

Jef's on to something. The new features are correct, but the list of bugs in the 2018.5 email sent to the moderators seems to be from the 2018.3 ReadMe.
I'll edit the main post to point people to the 2018.5 ReadMe rather than having the big list.

The solution to the problem of color in the viewfinders for those who do not have Quadro cards is to deactivate the option "Dual Copy Engine" in "VideoDisplay Settings".
In my case it works with Win10 and nVidia Titan X Pascal

Thanks Feralfons, great find.
I can confirm this is the case with a GTX 1080 Ti (windows 10), deactivating 'dual copy engine' gets the colours correct in the composer window.
Just did the download for MC 2018.5 today, was unaware of the "bug". I too got the unsual color shift when checking footage on projects that I've been working on in recent months. Any thoughts what to do, other than uninstall and re-install MC 2018.4? Thanks. I need to check these forums before I do installs.
Try the fix posted a couple of posts here earlier.

The "Fix" worked here with W 10, GTX 1070 and 2018.5. I can see the issue come and go by turning the Dual Copy Engine option in MC's Video Display settings on and off whilst in an active timeline. Just 5 minutes earlier, before uninstalling 2018.4 on this machine, the display was perfect with Dual Copy Engine turned on. For me that makes this "fix" a good temporary workaround.
Yes, thank you! I went into Video display settings and unchecked "Dual Copy Engine", and the colors are normal now!
Same issue here.
GTX 1080Ti
Unchecking Dual Copy Engine also fixed it for me.
OK, quick update. It's fixed unless I actually play the footage, then the colour problem comes back. Rolling back a version!

My footage was DNxHR HQX transcoded. UHD project.
Windows 10 with GTX 1080Ti.
Upgraded to 18.5 from 18.4 since the latter used to randomly hang on exit, so far so good.

For those with GTX 1070/1080 or other non-quadro cards I would look to try new user & system settings as well as the disabling the dual copy engine (which is designed for Quadro cards).
Also try changing the source/record disaply colour space and back again to refresh.
My thinking is that some settings aren't being refreshed enough when upgrading. I would then performa clean install of the Nvidia drivers.
I'm running on older GTX 580 hardware but using driver 390.77 which is working as expected - this driver also supports gtx 10 series cards.
Of course if you guys have done all that then maybe rolling back to 18.4 is a safer bet.
