When you create a new Media Composer Project, and it asks where you would like to check in your Project, there's a default location assumed. Does anyone know where that comes from, or especially, is there a way to change it?
Neil.
Here’s a relevant link. See pages 581-582:

Page 579 has more background if desired.

Settings | Interplay folder is where it’s set - usually it defaults to /Projects/ & appends project name.
It’s a project setting but you can drag it into ‘Site settings’ window and it’ll be the default for any newly created projects on that machine.
SITE SETTINGS
You must assign a default and drag that into site settings.
In my case I created a folder in Interplay and called it YOU DID NOT SET YOUR INTERPLAY CHECK IN LOCATION and then locked that folder so you cannot check into it. So when a user does check in without setting their folder they recieve an error.
Has worked like a charm.
