Lately I have been having problems rendering sequences. I've been getting this message (msm_cons_mismatched_writers) I have tried searching online for any tips but no luck. This error only happens when trying to render audio effects. For some reason Avid will render some but not others in the same sequence, and this will stall the export. What's wierd is that even though Avid stalls during the export the file does finish exporting on the background. File will play and everything looks good, so once I see this I am forced to forced quit Avid. I've tried rendering to a local drive same problem. I've moved the project to another drive same, tried removing the effects and adding new ones...SAME PROBLEM. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem or atleast know about the error message. This is not a consistent issue it picks and chooses which projects to be picky with, which makes recreating the problem a little bit hard to trouble shoot.

I am running on a HP z840 workstaion Windows 10, Avid MC 2018.2 and Application Manager 2018.2

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION AVID?

I get this when adding a Dissolve effect 9 times out of 10. 

the effect works fine after clicking OK ON THE WARNING.

Same thing here. iMac 27inch. Linked media rather than imported.

We don't get an error pop up, but when we look in console we get the same MSM_CONS_MISMATCHED_WRITERS. I can do an audio and video mixdown fine, but a render of effects doesn't work. Also interesting to note, is when I try to do an expert render it shows as no effects to render.

Any ideas? It's super annoying!
