    Hi,

does anybody know a solution for using the BlackmagicDesign Decklink Mini Monitor Card with System Sound Card Audio instead of embedded Audio? I Cannot find this setting in the Decklink settings...

    Thanks!

Same issue here , i Go hdmi into an external monitor and use a hdmi audio extractor to solve this.

It's hdmi in , rca Audio out and hdmi video out.

Thanks Martin, that seems to be a solution! Is the audio still in sync then? And can you affact the sync of the embedded audio with the desktop play delay setting? (sorry, I know I can try this on my own :-))

    Thanks

I use Black magic converter SDI to HDMI, from SDI on the card to to BM. and then into mixer to get the audio. works great in this end.

On my set up,everything was in sync. I suppose it depends on the process speed of the hdmi monitor. I would imagine the audio play delay doesn’t work and that the audio is packaged up in the hdmi signal. But I have not tried it, I’ll see if I can report back.

the first monitor I tried this with first was a Dell ultra sharp which would output the hdmi audio from it headphone socket.

Re: System sound card audio with Decklink Mini Monitor

I'm using the Decklink MM 4K connected via SDI cable to MM SDI to HDMI 6G which is connected via HDMI to my 4K monitor and via balanced cables to my speakers. Everything is in sync. This setup avoids the sync issue resulting from different paths for audio and video signals.

    So far so good.
