Has anyone else run into trouble with the Avid Pan & Zoom tool recently?  Ever since I upgraded to v8.5 I haven't been able to get it to work.  I'm running 8.9.2 now and it still will only show black.

Curious if anyone else sees this behavior.

Just tested it with MC 8.9.3 on Windows 7 and Windows 10 no issues
Also tested it with MC | First 8.9.2 (basically the same as MC 8.9.2 for this effect) on Mac OS 10.10.5 and it worked perfectly. 

In each case I was using local storage.  The files tested (.psd's) had simple names (no strange characters)  The Folders they were in also had simple names.   This is the same as my experience with almost all versions of MC sincve MC  6.0 on Mac's

Is it possible that you are putting the effect onto a linked shot in the timeline?  Then not using the P & Z effect to import the media you want to use.  (The only way I could find that just showed black)

Where are the files located? Some folks had issues when they were on the desktop.

I usually kkep pictures within the Avid project folder and put them in a Pics folder, and don't have issues accessing them.
