In the last few versions of MC 8.8 (currently on 8.8.5 with Windows 7), I've had the Audio Mixer's pan adjustment knobs disappear apparently on a random, intermittent basis.

I've tried restarting, creating a new user setting, and deleting the project settings and MC State files.

If I import the sequence into another project, the knobs reappear.

Has anyone encountered this before?

it happened to me briefly a couple of times last week.

Tested here today with projects originally created in MC 6, MC 7 and MC 8.8.4 as well as  existing and new MC 8.8.5 projects projects created on MC 8.8.5 and they all turn on and off flawlessly with the triangle.  As this is the PC forum I ran my tests on a machine with W7 64 Pro SP1.  Looking at your spec's now I see you showing as a Mac machine running 10.12.5.  I do not run any Macs on OS versions later than 10.10.5 so cannot help. I also see touviere7 is on W10 so could look at it on the OS later in the week.

Thank you for looking into this. It's not a consistent problem and I've only seen it happen two or three times on this Windows system in the past couple of months.

The specs listed in my profile are for a different Mac station on which I have not experienced the problem;  So far it has only happened in Windows 7.

Could be a corrupt project file, since importing the bins into a new project seems to fix it.

I'll keep an eye out in case it happens again.

I've encountered this before. It's an Avid User issue. Go to the following path:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Avid Media Composer

And then rename Avid Users folder. It will rebuild when you open MC.

I've seen that too, on MC 8.x, knobs came back by creating a new user and a new project with the very same name of the offending one and moving the bins from the original project to the new one; perhaps just deleting the project settings would have been enough. Don't know what caused the "glitch", and if it was solved by the new user or the new project, but I needed to deliver, and had no time to investigate any further.
