Up until I had MC 8.8.2, I had no problem dragging .mov files from my hard drive to my bin. With MC 8.8.3, I get the spinning colored ball and an error message. However, I have no problem if I go to the source browser and import my .mov files from there to my bin. Is this a glitch in 8.8.3 that needs to be addressed or is importing .mov files from the source browser to my bins is something I have to get used to? Until last March, I used MC 5.5 since 2011 and didn't have a source browser then.

And to clarify, are you dragging or OPTION+dragging?
Dragging is identical to the legacy IMPORT method. Option+dragging is LINKING, like the Source Browser does.

Sorry guys, false alarm. What happened was I was physically dragging one of my .mov files from my finder folder to my bin with my mouse. In the past, I have usually first physically dragged my .mov files from my Finder folder to my desktop and then dragged them from my desktop to my bins. I just did it that way with no problem. In the past, I never dragged anything from my Finder folder to my bins. I don't know why I did it differently yesterday.
Sorry!
