Hello,
I have a question about Script Sync, we have Avid 8.8.2 and we jyst purchased and activated scripsync, however when dropping related clip on the script and clicking Script tab - I cannot click on Script Sync option, it's disabled and greyed out. What am I doing wrong here? Or should I install Script Sync somehow and not only activate? or just wait?
Thank you so much for your help!
Hello,Below is a video on the process for PhraseFind, which is the same for ScriptSync. If you go through it and it doesn't work, report back and we'll assist.Video: https://youtu.be/5lf-rWZxrJI?t=3m5s
If it seems however like everything activated fine but you're just stuck in the interface, in the File menu, click Help / Media Composer Family Help, and then search for the word ScriptSync. That opens up the ScriptSync manual within Media Composer, which should assist you.Good luck!

Hi Victor,
You need to select all of the script before clicking on scripsync menu
There is now an Avid Options Forum for discussion of Avid options e.g. ScriptSynch & PhraseFind.
There seems to be a dead end in trying to find the PDF of the SS user guide. I see the "Getting Started" documentation that ends saying:
"7. Check through the marks. If ScriptSync missed any, add them manually as described in “Placing Script Marks Manually” in the Avid editing Help."
Is there not a manual that can be downloaded describing the functions and commands and where to find them?
Thanks

Chapter 15m p. 497, cover script integration elaborately. The ScriptSync feature is covered as well.
I do think they misstate how to invoke ScriptSync, though. You simply select all clips you added to a script (Cmd-A or Ctrl-A), then choose Script->ScriptSync.
And my go-to book (that also covers script integration) is still Avid Agility by Steve Cohen.
