hi,can anyone tell me that what  "avid interplay" is ?and any help about mc editing?

At the heart of it, Interplay is a multi project management server. It allows you to tracks assets being utilized across multiple projects, thus increase shared storage efficiency.

The 2nd role of Interplay is to allow you to add other functionalities to your shared asset environment. This includes MC | Cloud for remote editing, automate archiving, communicate with production servers (EVS, Grass Valley, etc.), and other post/post-production specific hardware.

Unless you are in a shared storage environment, Interplay is of no help. It is commonly used in large facilities (news, broadcast, etc.) or shows that are in constant production throughout the year.

Maybe someday Avid will have a smaller and leaner version for small to medium size facilities. Maybe even an extension of Nexis?
