Hello.
Im trying to AMA link all the clips that were shot on a Canon camera at once rather than going into each folder and AMA linking each clip individually.
I've had a look around a few forums at how to do this but still had no joy in succeeding in doint it.
I've made sure I have the correct AMA plugin (i think) I'm also using AMC 7
Ideally I'd like a workflow but any help would be appreciated!
What exact format(s) are you recording in? I think the C100 does AVCHD, while the C300 does Canon XF, but I'm not sure. There may be different workflows involved.
For Canon XF - make sure you have the CANON XF plugin installed (NOT the "MXF" plugin - that's not needed). For AVCHD, the plugin is installed automatically with MC.
In any case, make sure the ENTIRE structure of the raw media is intact. As a general rule, never change anything that's on a media card.
With almost ANY camera format, the way it works is:
-Make sure the right plugin is installed.-If it's on a card, link to the ROOT of the card. Not the topmost folder, but the actual base directory of the whole card.-If you're moving it to the hard drive - move the ENTIRE contents of your card, into a folder on your drive. When you link, link to that new folder that you created. So for Canon XF, move the entire CONTENTS folder into a new folder (I like something sortable and descriptive like 20160415-CAM1-CanonXF-01). Link to that new folder that you created.
