Worked for my as a workaround on MC 8.6.1 with MOJO DX. All glory to your head, zonik, you saved my sanity.
Did anyone have a good solution for this apart from restarting or disabling / enabling the driver?
Disabling windows fastboot can resolve this issue

Many thanks.
I had to disable fast boot in the BIOS AND in windows - that did the trick.
I also had this issue after upgrading to windows 10.
The solution Yoruba describes about changing the power options has solved this issue for me on all my workstations that I upgraded to windows 10.
