Am tearing my hair out over a seemingly simple issue:

There's a shot that's been treated in various ways - desaturated, grain added, aspect ratio slightly changed, etc.

I want to dissolve from this final shot into a simple end slate.

However as the dissolve occurs the effects fail to keep up. You can see the footage reverting to colour, losing grain etc, behind the emerging slate.

I've tried everything - Alt-dragging effects on top of the shot, collapsing the layers - to no avail.

Any advice?

OK fixed it - you have to position the graphic on the highest track ie parallel with the top effect.
