Does anyone here use a dongle with HP's zBook?  I have a dongle that apparently does not get enough power from the zBook USB port.  It works just fine on a z400 or z420 workstation.  Just not the zBooks we have.

     Mine is a totally different scenario, I have an old capture device with USB connection, the device does not function well if connected via USB 3.0 ports, but works well with 2.0 USB. The HP zBook has 3 USB 3.0 ports and 1 USB 2.0 port according to the HP specs guide, maybe the Dongle only works with 2.0 ports.

I tried the USB 2.0 port as well as the USB3.0 ports.  Since the dongle works fine on a z400 and using a powered USB3.0 hub, this leads me to believe that the USB controller chipset doesn't provide enough power for this particular dongle.  All of the other dongles of a different model that I tested worked fine with the zBook.  I think I am going to swap this dongle with one of the purple dongles on one of my workstations and be done with it.  All of the purple dongles work fine on the zBooks we have.
