Hi,
My director wants titles invisible for the new few phases of post, but doesn't want to remove them from the timeline. Because I can't turn off the clip in Avid, I tried putting a 3D warp effect on all the tracks and lowering the opacity in the foreground section. This removes the background colour behind the text, but the white text remains onscreen. How do you "mute" the titles matte key in Avid?
Just " mute clip " on the sequense , you need to make it active first , then rightclick and mute

Ah! I tried doing that, but didn't realise the clip had to be selected with the smart tool. Works now. I also found out I could open up the matte key effect and reduce the opacity in there as well. Thanks!
You´re most welcome, this was a long standing feature request , introduced with the latest Avid versions now
