HiSo I've been working on MC8.3 and I kept noticing that adittional tracks kept being selected without me remembering having ever selected them. VERY ANNOYING. Eventually I realized that double clicking on a segment in the timeline selects the track it's on (this only selects tracks- it doesn't de-select them). I assume this is a new feature Avid decided to add, which is lovely- except I don't want it since I keep accidently double clicking on my timeline (I use a Wacom tablet) and it keeps selecting the tracks. Can this feature be disabled??Thank you.
Yeah, it's weird how this isnt mentioned much and doesnt seem to have any settings to switch it off. A feature that the devlopers seemed to have fortogget about. I find it darn-gosh annoying and a bit redundant.
Don't Remember how this works across different releases, but there's a setting to select all tracks (video and audio) belonging to a clip at once, or select individual tracks. Auto patching settings might affect things as well. Never seen tracks being "randomly" selected other than because of these settings.
peace luca
