Hello everyone, According to this older article (http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/User_Guide/en384319) 1080P/23.98 is output as 1080PsF. I am working in a 1080P/23.98 project in Avid. I use AJA LHi connected to a Flanders Scientific CM171. Unfortunately, this monitor isn't very good at all when it comes to Psf. A couple issues irrelevent for this forum. Does that article still apply? In my AJA settings, I change it to 1080P but when I click on my sequence, the setting keeps changing back to 1080Psf. Is this an Avid thing? Thanks all.
That is correct, your card will output PsF instead of P.
So does this mean that I cannot output true progressive out of my Avid system? This doesn't sound right. I am using a AJA LHi IO via HDSDI. Thanks
Depends on the hardware. I recall that my Matrox MXO2 Mini would only output P, for example. Nitris DX and Mojo DX at some point got the option to toggle between P and PsF outputs in the Video Output Tool.
