Hi everybody!
I'm an AVID editor from 6 years.
I always edit with a iMAC. I changed also my iMAC 1 years ago. Now I edit on the new 27 imac (3,4 Ghz Intel Core i7 - 24 GB RAM).
I've this problem. I edit on AVID 7.0.0 (OSX 10.8.5). When I export I have different codecs that I can choose.
Now I buy a MacBook Pro. I put AVID MEDIA COMPOSER on it.
Obviously when I use Avid on my MB Pro I deactive the license from my iMac.
It works great. I install on my Mac Book Pro AVID 7.0.4 (OSX MAVERICKS). No problems when I'm in the editing phase.
The problem is in the EXPORT phase. I don't have the codecs that I need.
I try to do it whit the same project both on my iMac and Mac Book Pro, and only on my MB Pro I can't choose codecs I need.
Here you can see 2 screenshoots.

How I can resolve it? Thanks!

It's impossibile.
When I try to install the codec, the installation sayd to me:
"Impossibile install Quick Time codecs on this drive. No qualifying copies of Final Cut Pro, Motion or Compressor were found"
Infact I have AVID, not FINAL CUT...
I know this is a stupid solution, but I have installed fcp x trial on my mac, then all codecs work. Doesn't matter that the trial runs out, the codecs always work ok.
The codecs are still in the .pkg file you just need to extract them and copy them to the right place.
This link shows instructions to use a utility called unPKG to do just that:

Hope this helps.
