I'm about to do a 4.0.3 to 4.6.1 upgrade. Anything i should know? Worry about?
It seems pretty straight forward. (back up meta data, run installer) Any chance of loseing any drive data? Have a hyper cautious owner who wants to do this but we can't risk almost any chance of losing data.
Thanks
This should be straight forward but look at Chapter 7, page 119 of the ISIS Setup Guide.

Hi Dom
I see that ISIS 4.7 is out.
There is something un-clear on the ReadMe regarding the upgardes.
when upgarding from 3.1 it says:
ISIS 5000, ISIS | 5500 3.0 or 3.1 To 3.2, then to 4.2.2, then to 4.7
This is clear.
But what needs to be done when upgarding from 4.0? first 4.2.2 and then 4.7?
Becasue from 4.0 to 4.6.1 i belive it was a stright upgarde, without the need to go to 4.2.2.
Do you still recommend upgarding the expension engines before the system director?
Dori
Good point. You need to ask Avid support about that. But if I have to guess it seems that 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 are all grouped together. The core versions might be the same.
