Hi, I just upgraded my MC to 7.0.3. On the splash screen, it gets through all the initializations until the very end when it just displays "Initilizing..." and then it produces a windows Exception error message which points to a directory to read the error log. When I click OK, it brings me to the Project Dialogue box. If I proceed past the project dialogue box, everything (so far) seems to work OK. It's the startup Exception message which is the issue.
Another issue (may or may not be related) is that if I try to quit the application, it won't close without forcing a close.
Everything was fine in 7.0.
My specs for this system are the following:
7.0.3NVidia Quadro 4000 331.65Dell Precision T5600 WorkstationAJA IO ExpressWindows 7 SP132 G Ram Intel Xeon CPU CPU-E5-2630 0@2.30Ghz (2)
Tied to 3 other Avids via MetaSAN/MetaLAN software.
Thanks
Update: It has been fixed. Upon initially installing 7.0.3, an Avid startup message prompted me to update my NVidia graphics driver from 310.90 to 320.78 OR 331.65. Although odd that Avid seemed to give me a choice, I took a 50/50 chance and chose the latter after confirming the compatibility with my card.
This is when I wrote the above message. Upon further research, I noticed that the README for 7.0.3 states that 320.78 is for Windows 7/8 and 331.65 is for Windows 8.1.
There's my problem. I uninstalled 331.65 and installed 320.78 and all problems (including hangup at Quit) seem to be rectified.
