    Welcome to the DNxHD Forum!

This forum is "the place" to get answers to technical questions about Avid’s DNxHD SDK.

Avid DNxHD is a revolutionary HD codec technology engineered to create mastering-quality HD media at dramatically reduced file sizes.  DNxHD SDK is a developer toolkit written in C++ which contains pre-built i686 and amd64 static and shared libraries with Avid DNxHD, DNx100 and DNx444 codecs. Using DNxHD SDK will take advantage of high-quality video encoding and decoding on different operating systems, including Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.5+ and various Linux-based distributions.

The Avid DNxHD Developer forumhas two employee moderators listed below including Avid's Customer Advocate who are online to provide their DNxHD Codec knowledge and experiences, answer questions, provide advice and share their passion with DNxHD developers from across the world. You can read more about the Developer moderators on our Meet the Moderators Page.

In this forum, these moderators share their considerable knowledge and experience with the developer community  -- offering the best advice and direction possible on usage of the DNxHD SDK.  While the team may not have the answers to all your questions, our moderators are here to help in any way they can and provide access to Avid development.

Posting:  Please post and stick to issues and questions which pertain to the DNxHD SDK usage.  Please post questions in the appropriate place.

Important:  Please DO NOT post confidential information - as these are public forums. If you post confidential info in error, you will be asked to remove the post by a moderator or the customer advocate. If this behavior continues, you may be banned from community.

Again, welcome DNxHD developers and please start posting!
