did someone got share folder problem in DS 10.3

We got a tons of very weird problem, i think it's setting issue and don't know how to proceed. We even try to format all harddrive and reinstall from restore cd,can someone let us knwo how to solve this problem.

1.We got project creat shows disk full,I assume this is project index problem. And some old project in the project folder but could not shows up Sad

2.after this we got capture image only shows "an error occured while creating a master clip.Import was aborted.Try import clips one at a time or verdify if your disk is full",but iif we do more time, the image will captured.Super AngryAnd of course the disk aint full.

3.the same thing happened to save sequence ,sometimes saveing ok,but most of times shows"The file can not be created. The directory you specofied may be read-only or you may not have the appropriate promissions" I think this is the share folder setting problem,So I checked the project share folder, there' s no "share in share" problem for sure but something weird is all C:/F:/D: are shared and all folder in F: read-only being checked but in grey, and not removable.

the user now is only administrator and password is avid, anybody can help us?where i need to check ?

    Hi Harry,

First question - are you running XP64, SP2, all MS updates?

Your problems all sound OS related for sure and the above is the place to start.

This one's easy to fix, but let's get the rest right first.

    Hi Tony,

    thanks for you help

    the answer is

    WinXP 62Bit SP2/update disabled.

In the mean time,I also ask help from Avid staff Ivan Chan to help,he think this is something to do with windows share folder and DS project index conflict problem after he help us to remote check.

And after then ,I did a format and add  a new project folder ,the problem seems better but still got very few times "permission Error" means the problem still there .

I believe Ivan is on the right track because the Avid DS Indexers are all account permissions based.

Please, consult the Avid DS Support Center Troubleshooting section that explains the various requirements for your operating system settings and you probably will find out what is configured incorrectly.

As a side note, projects that exist in a Windows folder that don't show up in the DS Projects list are simply using the previous DS group name, so click Change Workgroup, browse to the DS_v10.3 root folder and click Select to rename them to the current group.  They will now display with all other projects.

Last small note, try not to keep too many projects in this root, otherwise data scan time will be very long.  All projects that you don't currently use should be push aside and you can use the DS Project Mover to do this operation.  Check the Tools information to learn more about this utility.
