    MC7: AMA does not work with QT ProRes

    AMA does not work with QT ProRes in MC7. Error message:

    Uanable to link to file or volume. You may need to download & install the AMA plug-in from the Avid AMA website. See console for more information.

    Console:

    Appropriate QuickTime decompressor wasn't found!

    What is your QT version?

     

    I have been able to link to Alexa prores footage but the playback is jerky.

    Do you have the AppleProresCodec.component in your Library/Quicktime folder?

    Without that I also got that error.

    Everything is up do date. I can play ProRes in every other app. It worked fine with 6.5.

    I think AMA is buggy in MC 7, let us wait for more feedback.

    AMA has been nothing but trouble for me since v6. I was hopping something better with v7 :(
