I am having serious issues with AMA linked files in MC 7, the files(Qt warped h264 and DNxHD 175) stutters and plays back jerkyly. red dotted lines apper in the timeline, whereas the same files plays back smoothly in MC 6.0 and 6.5.2. Any one having issues with AMA linked files ?

If you import/transcode, Does it help?
If you have a small file for testing I can test it over here
dor:If you import/transcode, Does it help?
Yes imported transcoded files play very well and MC 7 is very responsive.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the files, because all is well in MC 6 with the same clips.
Sony XDCAM AMA Plugins does not recognize MC 7.
Yes the MC 7 AMA plugins are not out as of now, but coming soon; I can't point You to where I read it but this is it.

Luca, maybe you read it here:http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/compatibility/AMA-Plugin-Compatibility-for-Media-Composer-7-0-and-NewsCutter-11-0?popup=true&NewLang=en&DocType=1083&q=media%20composer&daysPast=7&site=kbase&filter=0&subfilters=&ProductCategory=but I can give you a tip about xdcam AMA plugins... Don't uninstall Sony AMA plugins from a MC6.5 system... just keep them in the AVX2 folder and install MC7...I have had success linking to XDCAM HD discs in MC7 with that workaroundat own risk of course

Wim, yes, that's the page. I left the 6.5 Sony xdcam AMA plugins on the system and am able to link to xdcam disks at my own risk too, but my best guess is that if going to install the 6.5 plugins on a 7 system all You get is an error message.
