Hello!I'm working with Avid Media Composer 5.044
I grouped material from HVR-camera, XDCAM and gopros.Yesterday I could work properly with everything, but today camera 5 (the captured HVR) is offline in the group and in the source material bin. What I tried to fix the problem:>Relink to media from all drive - no clips were relinked>Trashed the media database and restarted - same issue>and of course restart Avid and the ComputerAny tips what I can do other than batch capture??Thanks Alex
In the drive column of the bin does it show the correct media drive for those clips (or did they get captured to the wrong drive)
If you open the media tool with the correct settings (all drives and current project or the project the media was created in) do you see the source clips listed there?
When you re-built the media databases did they all get rebuilt?
Are there any quaranteened files in the media folders.
Have you tried a check disk on the media drive?

Hello Pat!Thank you very much for your quick answer!Yes, in the bin column there was the right drive shown, but they were not listed in the media tool and didn't come up when I tried "reveal file". The media database also got correctly rebuilt. How do I recognize quaranteed files? And I didn't try check disk - fortunately I was told that there was a second drive, from which - about a week ago - the project was consolidated to that drive I am working with now (it was not my project from the beginning on....). Maybe someone did not consolidate correctly, also I wonder why the media was there the day before... Whatever, I could concolidate the clip to my current drive without problems and did not even have to relink it in the current project. So everythings works fine now, although I still don't understand what happened there :DAnyway, thanks again for the quck answer! You guys here in the forums do a really great job!Greetings from germanyAlex
The location of media for a clip shown in the bin shows the last known location of that media. So if the media vanished the location would still show that drive.
It looks to me like you suffered some corruption on the drive and that damaged those clips and MC quarantined them so they went offline in the project.
After a complete restart and a drive check it's worth pulling the quarantine files out back to the main media folder and trashing the media databases to see if MC re-scans and sees them. if they get quarantined again they are damaged and you may as well delete them.
But if it's all OK now then don't bother.
I'd keep an eye on that drive in case you have a problem looming.
