Hi,
I have been given 22 hours of EVS MXF footage to export out to ProRes HQ HD and they want all 8 audio tracks in the QuickTimes , like a direct out. I can't think of a time I've ever been asked to do this and to be honest I feel a little foolish that I don't know how. Is it possible other than making a QT reference ?
thanks
I suggest upgrading to 6.0.3.2 if you can, this workflow doesn't require this.
On the Mac create a sequence with the clips and perform a video mixdown of the video to the desired ProRes codec. Or transcode each clip to ProRes.
Export a Same as Source QT file of the sequence/clips. In the Audio Tab select Direct Out. This will send track 1 to 1, 2 to 2...
The mixdown/transcode is very important. Don't select Custom and Format Options and ProRes. It will take a long time and there will be a significant hit in quality.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply , left them exporting last nigh just got in and it probably crashed an hour after I left. I find this only ever happens when deadlines are tight. Having another go at it now.
