Hi
When i mount an ISIS 5000 workspace on my Max, wether it be on snow leopard to lion, listing the contents of that workspace can take up to 15 minutes, sometimes even longer depending on the amount of files the workspace has.
Also simply deleting the database file or moving MXF files between folders can take an age.
Is this common behavior for ISIS, if so it is ridiculous, 15 minutes to display a few thousand files and in excess of five minutes to delete a databse file.
Does anybody else suffer from this?
No, that's not normal, nor have I seen it. The first thing I'd do, is go through "everything" and check for proper revs, settings, etc.
Are your System Specs up to date in your Forum listing? Looks like Unity not ISIS.

Hey guys, I've noticed this on mac systems. As a result I do all my large volume file copying on my pc systems. I think it's an issue with spotlight indexing the drive before use and creating it's dreaded '._' files.
This behaviour is not limited to isis. Also present on external FW800 drives etc.
I've tried switching off spotlight's indexing of my media drives but got fed up messing with it in the end. Any joy let us know!
Jonny
We have 5 Mac based systems in both our Unity 5.1.3 and ISIS 5000 network and I have tried this trick and it has worked fine for us: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1629
