Hello,
I'm experiencing an issue that I thought was fixed, but has now reared it's ugly head again it would seem.
Running Symphony 5.5 on a Z800 (XP) with ISIS storage using the new ISIS client software.
I am using a tapeless workflow to get my grades into my Film Master and have a problem with XDcam Media.
The workflow is to pregrade the sequence, then export a video mixdown and transcode to DNxHD185x which gives me a single MXF file to use in the grade.
What's happening is that sporadically the shot(s) will skip back a few frames, then skip a few forward to try and catch up, it looks like sticky discs or poor buffering, but the clip when played back on the Avid timeline is good, it's just the exported MXF that is duff.
Oddly though, this only happens with Symphony on PC, Media Composer on Mac seems OK....
There was a patch that was implemented but that seems to now have fallen off!
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks

There was an issue when XDCAM EX was transcoded to DNxHD with a Nitris DX attached.
This is a thread on the topic.

Hi Bob,
it's me again, the issue seems to have come back.
I'll try the patch again, first thing, but it's certainly returned, I had six or seven duff shots in an hour today, only noticed after the export was done and was 30 minutes into the grade!!!!
I'll keep you posted.
What exact version are you running?
