Installing on windows 7 professional SP1.
MC 6.0.1 installed and working fine.

when I double click the installer it immediately comes up with an error:
There is a problem with this windows installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personel or package vendor.

Maybe the whole thing didn't download? Just a hunch.

I downloaded it several times
on some other forum they said the error is caused by virus software that prevents scripts from running but I installed in safe boot with norton turned off completely.
did it install on your system? are you able to use AMA?

Sony have yet to modify their installer to work with MC 6.5
You can change the file extension from .msi to .zip and copy the files into the AMA plugins folder if you know where to to look.
I am working on version 6.0.1 at the moment. I also have Symphony. Both are trial versions. I had it working in my last edit suite (with help) but that gives me hope it's possible.

MTS files are AVCHD format. Download and install the AVCHD AMA plugin and see how you go,

All night I have been converting my .mts/ AVCHD files to .movAVID picks them up now too.Is there a link though for an AMA plugin specifically for MTS files??? :OI've converted about 80% so I might as well stick to this for now, but for future reference, if I could save myself from another all nighter lol :/. :PCheers!
