Re: Sony AMA installer: can't install, script error

    I downloaded it several times

on some other forum they said the error is caused by virus software that prevents scripts from running but I installed in safe boot with norton turned off completely.

did it install on your system? are you able to use AMA?

    I can't make this work

    Thanks

Sony have yet to modify their installer to work with MC 6.5

You can change the file extension from .msi to .zip and copy the files into the AMA plugins folder if you know where to to look.

Re: Sony AMA installer: can't install, script error

I am working on version 6.0.1 at the moment. I also have Symphony. Both are trial versions.
I had it working in my last edit suite (with help) but that gives me hope it's possible.

Not sure how to change msi to zip.

Thanks for response! I'm desperate to figure this out coming up to my deadline. Project was so close to finish before I had to move suites :( Having to ingest and recreat the timeline would be a huge setback :(

I've had no problem AMA linking my converted JVC m-peg to .mov quicktime files.
I am only struggling to link my Panasonic .mts files (which sadly there are a tone of.

    Hold on.

MTS files are AVCHD format. Download and install the AVCHD AMA plugin and see how you go,

Re: Sony AMA installer: can't install, script error

    I installed the

PDZK-MA2 Version 1.3 (64-bit) Avid Media Access (AMA) Plug-In for Windows

It recogniss that in the console fine.
And has recognised my mov files.

All night I have been converting my .mts/ AVCHD files to .mov

AVID picks them up now too.

Is there a link though for an AMA plugin specifically for MTS files??? :O

I've converted about 80% so I might as well stick to this for now, but for future reference, if I could save myself from another all nighter lol :/. :P

    Cheers!
