    Avid FX Key frames

    Hi All

I cant seem to work out keyframes in Avid FX. I need to move a small logo from one one side of the screen to the other.

Some links to any basic key framing tutorials would be much appreciated.

I think i may have turned off avid FX's ability to automatically create keyframes when a parameter is adjusted.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kale.

    Re: Avid FX Key frames

Pictured moved to the left (note change in X Position).

Motion is set to 'constant' ( .... ) - this is good if you don't want to keyframe - anywhere you change this position will not add a keyframe and thus will not animate. If you want to add a keyframe change the motion type to something else...

    Re: Avid FX Key frames

Here I've changed it to 'linear' ( / ) - this will add a keyframe

    Re: Avid FX Key frames

Go to a different position in the timeline - change the horizontal position and set the animation style to 'hold' ( - ). This will hold this x position from this 2nd keyframe until the next keyframe / end of comp. This should now animate between Kfs 1 and 2 in a linear fashion.

(It may well animate between the beginning of the comp and your first Keyframe - I don't quite understand the Boris approach here, but would just copy the first PosX keyframe to the beginning of the timeline and set the motion to 'hold'.)

Mods should probably move this to the 'Complete Your Suite' forum as that is where Dirk from Boris monitors...
