BUMP - Set default bin view...

Seems a lot of posts asking for this and i never really thought about it but today i have really wanted this feature.  How hard can it be?

I want Avid to open a bin with the custom bin view of my choosing, every time I open it.  Simple.

Appologies if this has been fixed, I'm still on 4.0.5 but i couldn't find any posts confirming a change so I'm gonna go ahead and ask for it again.

    Cheers,

    Andi

In MC 7, you can set the default bin font size in interface settings.

I want to be able to set it for all existing bins in that project.

Unless you've been working with the code you can't possibly know if that's true.

    - and even if it is true you can't realistically expect that just because you want something Avid (or any other software developer for that matter) will be prepared to drop what they're currently doing to implement it.

I agree that it's hard to juggle what the focus of development should be.  However, often little improvements to the interface make a very big difference to customer satisfaction.  Streamlining the time it takes me to set up my project and get working is something that's important to me and cumulatively the effect is quite big.  Ease of use has got to be a big factor in customer retention.

I'd like to see it taken a step further.  I want to link my custom bin views to my workspace settings, just like I can link my keyboard settings and timeline settings.  So everytime I go into my Edit workspace, my bins change to the Edit bin view.  When I go to my Logging workspace, the bins change for that.
