Ensure you mixer is not set to auto and is set to clip.

Ahh yes thnaks that works it was on auto, I changed it and it allows me to change each clip is there a way of assigning and entire track so I don't have to do it for every clip on that track.

You're welcome- sure is. Click the hamburger (fast menu) of the Audio Mixer and select set pan on tracks global.

I'm having the same issues. I'm operating with pro tools 11, mbox 3 and on Windows 8. Can I use this same remedy to resolve this issue- if so, how do I set the mixer to clip in pro tools 11?

No. This remedy is for Avid Media Composer not Pro Tools.   You are posting your question in Avid's Pro VIDEO forums.

For Pro Tools questions you need to join the Avid Pro AUDIO forums found here  ( http://duc.avid.com/ ) Once you have joined you go to the "Pro Tools 11 Discussion" Forum found here  ( http://duc.avid.com/forumdisplay.php?f=115 )

There is also a forum for Mbox  "Firewire and USB Audio Interfaces (Win)" found here   ( http://duc.avid.com/forumdisplay.php?f=19 )

    Good Luck

HELLO! May I follow up with my case. I have the mixer in 'CLIP' mode. Everything is good, except for this one clip in the timeline. It stays panned to the right no matter what I do (global or manual). I have re-edited the clip, relaunched Avid, rebooted the MacPro. Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm probably missing something obvious, but the clip you're parked on in the screen shot seems to be panned to MID on both tracks, but you're saying it stays panned to the right. I'm confused.

Both track 1 and track 2 are centered? are you only hearing it on one channel?

Sorry camoscato. Yes, the track is center-panned (mid) but plays only on the right channel. It is ignoring any pan setting I make. Previous clips in the same track acts fine, they follow my pan settings. The track is not locked.

    Thanks for responding!

I can see from the screenshot that you are playing a centered track, it's solo'd and you are only getting one track on the master fader. Makes no sense unless you are in direct out which you aren't. It is weird that it is only happening for one clip and not an entire track. Try putting the clip on a new sequence and different track and see if the behaviour persists. ALT clicking on the pan box automatically centres a track..

If all else fails try a new user

Can we go back to the way audio nodes used to be selected? Please? ie if you have audio nodes at the same time on selected tracks; then selecting 1 audio node selects them all at that time. Having to shift select nodes or add an in and out is time consuming and counter productive. At least make it an option.

Thanks Mondo! I'll try that. ACtually it's two clips now! I just dropped another one in the edit and does the same problem.
