    Unable to run 4GBME.cmd

Got a 16x1TB MediArrayXT and trying to add it to an existing deployment: MediaEngine chassis(8x1TB, running 5.1.3)+QLogic 1400+4xMacOSX10.6.5 clients.

First step, after backing up metadata and boot.ini, is to upgrade the memory in the file manager to 4GB, in order to accomodate the 1TB drives. Sounds easy, but it turns out it won't let me run the 4GBME.cmd script from the 5.1.1 CD.

When I attempt to run it, it pops up an error:

'This does not seem to be a MediaEngine system. Nothing to be done!'

    Any ideas?

Just to be clear, I'm attempting to run the script on the MediaEngine, prior to adding the extra 2GB of memory, per Avid's installation instructions

    cheers,

    bogie

    Re: Unable to run 4GBME.cmd

    Followup on my issue:

For whatever reason, on my MediaEngine, the signature was not 'ME' and the script won't run without it.

So I had to remove the checking section from the script in order to force it to run.

All happy now, with 16TB extra in the added MediarrayXT.

    cheers,

    bogie
